What to do when a customer will not sign the quote

A quote that sits unsigned usually has a reason. Finding it is better than waiting.

  1. Confirm they received it. Email and text get lost; a quick call checks.
  2. Ask what is holding them back. Price, timing, scope or a competing quote.
  3. Offer to walk through it. A short call clears up most questions.
  4. Offer options, not discounts. Good, better and best choices let them pick a level.
  5. Set a clear expiry date. A date gives them a reason to decide.
  6. Know when to stop. After a few polite attempts, close the quote and move on.
