Job site photos: what to take and why
A few minutes of photos per job can save hours of argument later.
- Before you start. Existing conditions, damage and the area you will work in.
- Model and serial plates. Equipment labels help with warranty and parts orders.
- Key steps. Anything that will be covered up, such as pipes in walls or wiring.
- Finished work. Clean, well lit shots of the completed job.
- Customer sign-off area. Photos of the cleanup and the final state.
- Store them with the job. Save photos to the customer record so they can be found later.
