How to write an end-of-year thank-you to customers
A thank-you sent once a year costs almost nothing and reminds customers you are there when they need you.
- Keep it short. Three or four sentences is plenty.
- Be specific when you can. Mention the type of work you did together if you have it on file.
- Add your holiday hours. Tell them how to reach you for urgent problems over the holidays.
- Do not make it a sales pitch. A thank-you works because it asks for nothing.
- Check your list first. Send only to customers who have agreed to hear from you, and follow local rules on messages.
Common questions
Should I send a card or a text?
Either works. A handwritten note stands out. Make sure you have permission before sending any bulk text or email.
