BossHours

A voicemail script for quote follow-ups

Many customers never pick up. A clear, short voicemail makes it easy for them to reply when they have a minute.

  1. Say who you are and why you are calling. Your name, company and the job, in the first ten seconds.
  2. Mention the quote by date or job name. This helps them find it in their email or texts.
  3. Ask one easy question. For example, whether they have questions or would like a different option.
  4. Leave your number once, slowly, and again at the end. Say it at a pace someone can write down.
  5. Plan the next try. Note the call in the job record and set a reminder for a few days later.

Common questions

How many times should I follow up?

Two or three polite attempts over a couple of weeks is common. After that, close the quote out in your records.

Should I text or call?

Use whichever the customer told you they prefer. If you have no preference on file, ask next time.
