How to write a short cover note for an estimate
A few lines that make a quote easier to say yes to.
- Thank them by name. One sentence about the visit.
- Restate the problem in their words. Shows you listened.
- Summarize the plan in plain language. Two or three lines, no jargon.
- State the next step. How to approve, and until when the quote is valid.
- Give a way to reach you. Phone and best times.
Common questions
How long should it be?
Short. Five or six lines is plenty.
Should it mention price?
