How to write a job completion summary for customers
A clear summary reduces callbacks and makes follow-up payment easier.
- State the original request. One line on what the customer asked for.
- List what was done. Plain words, no jargon, in the order it happened.
- Note parts and materials used. Include brand or model where it helps with future service.
- Record any open items. If something needs a return visit, say what and when.
- Share care and warranty notes. Give the warranty terms in writing exactly as your company offers them.
