How to work around pets and kids on a job site
Simple habits that keep animals and children safe and keep the job moving.
- Ask before you arrive. Put pets and children on your booking questions so the crew knows what to expect.
- Agree where pets will be. Ask the customer to keep pets in a closed room or crate while work is happening.
- Close gates and doors. Check every gate and exterior door each time you come and go.
- Keep tools and materials out of reach. Lock up chemicals, blades and cords at breaks and at the end of the day.
- Mark the work area. Use cones, tape or a sign to show where children should not go.
- Tell the crew. Pass the note to every tech who will visit, not only the first.
Common questions
