How to set up a simple customer feedback question after a job

One short question after each job tells you what is working and catches problems before they become bad reviews.

  1. Ask one question. Something like: was everything handled the way you expected? Short questions get answers.
  2. Ask within a day. Send it while the job is fresh.
  3. Make it easy to reply. A reply to the same message or a phone call works for most customers.
  4. Respond to problems fast. Call the same day if the answer is negative and offer a fix.
  5. Log what you learn. Note repeated themes and review them monthly.

Common questions

Should the feedback question mention reviews?

Keep them separate. Ask for feedback privately first, then ask happy customers if they would leave a public review.

What if nobody answers?

That is normal. Do not chase; a single friendly reminder is enough.
