How to run a Friday open-jobs review
Thirty minutes on Friday keeps jobs from slipping into next week.
- List every open job. Include scheduled, in progress, waiting on parts and waiting on payment.
- Mark what is stuck. Tag each stuck job with the reason: customer, parts, permit, weather or crew.
- Assign the next action. Every open job gets one next step, one owner and one date.
- Check for unbilled work. Look for completed jobs with no invoice sent.
- Plan Monday. Pick the first three jobs to move on Monday morning.
- Tell the customers who are waiting. A short message now prevents a call on Monday.
