Planning for a busy Monday morning
Monday sets the tone for the week. Most of the work that makes it smooth happens before Monday starts.
- Confirm Monday jobs on Friday. Send arrival windows and ask customers to reply if anything changed.
- Check parts for every job. Make sure what is needed is on the truck or has been ordered and has an arrival date.
- Review weekend messages first. Reply to anything urgent before assigning the day.
- Leave buffer in the first slot. Weekend emergencies often spill into Monday. A small gap keeps the day from slipping.
- Hold a five-minute huddle. Go over the schedule, any special access notes and who to call if a job runs long.
Common questions
What if a customer cancels on Monday morning?
Keep a short list of customers who want an earlier slot so the gap can be filled.
