Handling a customer who goes quiet after a quote

A calm sequence of follow-ups that ends with a clear answer either way.

Follow up without being pushy

  1. Wait two business days. Give them time to compare and talk it over.
  2. Send one helpful message. Offer to answer questions or adjust the scope.
  3. Follow up again after a week. Mention the quote's expiration date if you have one.
  4. Make the last message easy. Ask them to reply yes, no, or later so you can plan your schedule.
  5. Close it out. Mark the quote closed and move on. You can always reopen it.
