How to check in with a customer a week after a job
A short check-in catches small problems early and often leads to reviews and repeat work.
- Pick the day. Set a reminder about seven days after the job is done.
- Keep the message short. Ask if everything is working as expected and invite them to reply with any questions.
- Use the customer's preferred channel. Call or message the way they communicated during the job.
- Handle problems fast. If something is wrong, book a callback and log it.
- Ask for feedback if it went well. A happy customer may be willing to leave a review. Ask once and do not push.
- Record the result. Note the check-in on the customer file.
