New customer first-call checklist
A good first call saves a wasted trip.
- Get name, number and address. Read the details back to confirm them.
- Ask what is happening. Symptoms, how long, and anything already tried.
- Ask about access. Gate codes, pets, parking and who will be home.
- Ask about the equipment. Brand, age and location, or a photo if they can send one.
- Agree the next step. Give a visit window and what the visit will cost, if anything.
Common questions
Should I quote over the phone?
Only a ballpark. Say clearly that the firm price comes after you see the job.
How long should the call take?
Five minutes is usually enough.
