Naming and storing job site photos

Photos settle disputes only if you can find them.

  1. Take the same shots every job. Wide view, close-up, and the model or serial label.
  2. Attach photos to the job right away. Do not leave them in a phone camera roll.
  3. Label what each one shows. A short note like 'old panel, before' is enough.
  4. Take after photos before you leave. Show finished work and a clean site.
  5. Keep them for your warranty period. Hold photos at least as long as you stand behind the work.

Common questions

How many photos is enough?

Five to ten per job covers most needs.

Should I photograph customers' homes inside?
